Welcome back to Fitness First Clubs in Abu Dhabi.

  • Fitness First Abu Dhabi clubs will open on 1st July and resume normal operational hours. Please visit your club page to check the timing
  • Please note Fitness First Dalma Mall club will remain closed until further notice as the mall is not yet open.
  • Our clubs in Abu Dhabi can now operate at 40% capacity and we need to maintain a 2 metre distance at all times.
  • Clubs access will be on first come and first served basis.
  • Please note children aged 12 years old & above AND adults aged 60 years old & below are allowed to access the club.
  • Each member and staff member will have their body temperature checked through a temperature gun upon entry. Staff and Customers plus any contractors will not be permitted to enter with a temperature of 37.5 degrees centigrade or higher.
  • Our group exercise classes will operate at 40% capacity whilst maintaining a 2 metre distance.
  • Members must continue to book group exercise classes using the MyFitnessFirst app.
  • Showers, changing rooms and locker facilities are closed and members must bring their own towels.

Operational Changes - Dubai Clubs

  • Our clubs in Dubai can now operate at 100% capacity however we still need to maintain a 2 metre distance at all times.
  • Our group exercise classes will operate at full capacity whilst maintaining a 2 metre distance (dependent on studio size and capacity)
  • Members are no longer required to book ‘Gym time’ to gain access to our clubs in Dubai
  • Members must continue to book group exercise classes using the MyFitnessFirst app
  • Showers, changing room and locker facilities are open however members must bring their own towels.
  • Swimming pools are now operational and members can resume their sessions with Swim Academy by Fitness First.
  • Squash Courts are now open and limited to use by one person at a time
  • Member's lounges will remain closed
  • Water fountain/stations will remain closed
  • Jacuzzi, steam and sauna facilities will remain closed
  • Towel services will remain unavailable

Swim academy

We are delighted to announce that our swimming pools and Swim Academy has re-opened, please be sure to read the new guidelines in place before joining us for a swim:

What to bring:

  • Towels to use at the pool and for showering
  • Swimming hat and goggles (optional)
  • Membership Card

Swimming Pool Guidelines:

  • All members must adhere to social distancing of 2 metres from each other whilst in the swimming pool/pool area.
  • Changing Facilities (Showers, Lockers and Toilets) are now available for all members to use.
  • Face masks must be worn by members but can be removed for strenuous activity and whilst inside the pool
  • Members must shower prior to entering the swimming pool.
  • Pool access is based on a first come first served basis. Capacity in the pool is limited based on social distancing rules.
  • When lanes are in place, lanes less than 2.5m wide, only 1 Swimmer ONLY permitted per lane. 2.5m or Wider, a maximum 3 Swimmers are permitted to swim in the lane.
  • Swimmers must Swim in a clockwise direction within lanes, maintaining at least 5m ahead / behind each swimmer.
  • Members should select swim lanes based on their personal ability / speed to enable Social Distancing and 5m spacing rules to be maintained.
  • Any parents in attendance poolside, must maintain Social Distancing of minimum 2 metres.
  • Lifeguard requests and directions must be respected and followed, to ensure everyone’s safety and compliance with Local Municipal requirements.
  • ONLY Family Groups (Family members living in the same household) are permitted to forego Social Distancing rules, and up-to Max 5 Family Group Members are permitted in a Swim Lane.

  • Our clubs in Sharjah can now operate at 50% capacity and we need to maintain a 2 metre distance at all times.
  • Clubs access will be on first come and first served basis.
  • Each member and staff member will have their body temperature checked through a temperature gun upon entry. Staff and Customers plus any contractors will not be permitted to enter with a temperature of 38 degrees centigrade or higher.
  • Our group exercise classes will operate at 50% capacity whilst maintaining a 2 metre distance.
  • Members must continue to book group exercise classes using the MyFitnessFirst app.
  • Showers, changing room and locker facilities are open however members must bring their own towels.
  • Members must wear face mask and gloves.
  • Member's lounges will remain closed.
  • Water fountain/stations will remain closed.
  • Jacuzzi, steam and sauna facilities will remain closed.
  • Towel services will remain unavailable.

We have missed you and welcome you back with a warm smile and we ask you to read this welcome letter fully, to understand we have new measures in place to ensure yours and our team safety and wellbeing remain our number one priority.

Things will look a bit different around here, but our heart is still the same and you will leave with the same sense of satisfaction, awesomeness and joy as you did before.

In order to resume training at your favourite club, we require all members to review and accept our agreement to ensure maximum safety and wellbeing for you, other members and our staff.

In addition to this fantastic news, we are happy to inform you that our business will continue to operate virtually with classes and online PT and wellness meditation to ensure we actively blend our operation both in and out of club facilities.

Operating Guidelines

Below are the guidelines we have put in place in accordance with government guidelines and endorsed by our Fitness First Covid-19 Wellbeing advisor, Dr. Mansoor Habib who is also a consultant Family Physician at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital

  • Each member and staff member will have their body temperature checked through a temperature gun upon entry. Staff and Customers plus any contractors will not be permitted to enter with a temperature of 37.5 degrees centigrade or higher.
  • Entry will be restricted to members who are feeling unwell or showing any signs of illness.
  • To ensure adequate distancing between members, social distancing measures are in place leaving a minimum of 2 metres apart.
  • All members are required to wear masks inside Dubai clubs upon entering and leaving the club and for Sharjah clubs, members must wear face masks and gloves.
  • Members must bring their own sweat towel and an exercise mat.
  • You have to bring your membership card to gain entry to the club.
  • Anyone with any existing Chronic diseases/respiratory illness is not permitted to enter the club.
  • Cardio equipment will be re-arranged with every other piece available for use, to allow a safe 2 metre distance between members on the equipment
  • Boxing gloves will not be available. Some other fitness accessories may also be unavailable until further notice.
  • PT sessions will continue, however these will be conducted with the appropriate social distancing measures in place and no physical contact.
  • Vending machines will be available to purchase water.
  • Core Juice Bars will be open for take-aways only. No consumption of food permitted inside our clubs.
  • All GX classes should be booked through the MyFitnessFirst app, to ensure the number of spaces available and to book your space before you arrive at the club. No entry will be permitted to anyone who has not booked. It is important that you are familiar with the GX booking processes.
  • GX classes will run for 45 minutes each class.
  • All customers must wear mask at all times when engaged in light/moderate activity. However, your mask can be lowered/removed during strenuous physical exercise

Our Sanitisation and safety protocols

  • Our dedicated cleaning teams are consistency cleaning throughout the day, and conducting a deep clean every night after our clubs close.
  • All Clubs have been equipped with additional cleaning and sanitization products.
  • All members and staff are being educated to practice good hygiene with regular hand washing, hand sanitisers, social distancing and staying home if feeling unwell.
  • All equipment is being thoroughly sanitized after each class.
  • Each club has a Wellbeing Marshall appointed wearing a high vis vest who is responsible to monitor, inspect and manage all protocols are being adhered to.

MEMBER AGREEMENT

Dear Member,

As we re-open clubs, the health and wellbeing of our staff and members is our number one priority. To create the safest environment, we have put a number of guidelines in place and we ask your support in your agreement to adhere to these new guidelines.

Below the new guidelines have been listed and we ask you to accept before you visit our newly re-opened clubs. By entering our clubs, you agree to the below stated guidelines.

We ask all members to ensure they follow these when you visit the club.

Fitness First reserves the right to deny entry or remove any member who does not adhere to our policy.

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community as healthy as possible.

For good and valuable consideration, the parties agree as follows:

1. HEALTH & SAFETY

I confirm I do not have any symptoms related to and have not been knowingly exposed to COVID-19.

If the above status changes, I agree not to visit the club.

2. FACE COVERING

I agree to wear a mask while in the club.

3. SOCIAL DISTANCING

I agree to keep a 2 metre distance between myself and other members/staff while in the club.

4. CLEANLINESS

I agree to disinfect all equipment after use, and will not enter closed off areas.

I agree to keep my hands washed/sanitized while at the club.

5. FITNESS FIRST POLICIES    

I agree to all policy and required actions implemented by Fitness First.

WAIVER: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, I reaffirm the Waiver which I executed on my Membership form, and assume the risk of use of the Fitness First facilities.

Fitness First Marshalls will be monitoring the clubs to monitor that our guidelines are being adhered to. If a Marshall or member asks you to do one of the above, we ask that you please cooperate and do your part. Thank you in advance, we can’t wait to see you in the club.

RE-OPENING FAQS

Operating hours will be Sunday to Saturday:  07:00 to 22:00 hours.

As per the new government regulation, we can now operate at 100% capacity.

For phase 1, the below facilities will remain closed until further notice:

  1. Towel Service.
  2. Sauna and Steam Rooms and Jacuzzis / Spa Pools to remain closed until further notice.
  3. Prayer rooms to remain closed until further notice.
  4. Member lounge to remain closed until further notice.
  5. Water fountains and water stations will be closed until further notice.
  6. Core Juice Bars will remain closed until further notice.
  7. Guests and members guests or guest passes/vouchers will not be accepted until further notice.

We are asking all members to maintain a 2 metre distance between themselves and others in the club. Floor stickers are here to help guide you marking this suitable distance in the reception area. Within the club, it is your responsibility to maintain this 2 metre distance and our Wellbeing Marshalls will be monitoring and addressing anyone who fails to comply with our set guidelines.

Yes you can. Our GX classes have been modified to cater for a 50% capacity while keeping a safe 2 meter distance from each other. You must book your space on your MyFitnessFirst app. Members who have not booked will not be permitted to enter the class.
