Padel Tennis – Now Available at Fitness First

Padel Tennis is a highly addictive sport that combines elements from tennis, squash and racquetball.  It is played in doubles on an enclosed court which is less than half the size of a full tennis court, with a short-handled racket that is smaller and easier to handle. Players can use the surrounding walls to return the ball which makes the game more exciting and tactical. The rules are quick and easy to learn making it a game that can be enjoyed by everyone.

I’m a member of fitness first so can I just book a court for me and my friends and get a 10% discount?

• Yes, the court can be booked online via the rackets academy website, or the rackets academy app. Availability is always up to date. Please note that min bookings time is 90 min and that our booking system adjusts pricing based on the membership status of each player. If the person making the payment in full is a member then the discount is applied.

What type of gear do I need to wear?

• Typical tennis/gym gear. However, we recommend using padel tennis shoes, rather than regular running shoes.

can I play if I don’t have the other 3 players to join me?

• You can play with 2 only but the game is played properly with 4 people

What is your cancellation policy?

• 24hrs - under this is non-refundable

Can I just rent the equipment rackets and balls)?

• Rackets available to rent at the reception and balls can be purchased

What equipment do you sell in your shop?

Do you do lessons for juniors?
